James Nash
PhD Student

James Nash’s research focuses on the rain erosion of wind turbine blades. As part of the SPIRE2 (EU) project, James’ work has been focused on developing better testing practices as well as understanding which environmental conditions enhance the rain erosion process. Developing a new rain erosion testing facility at the university has been the primary focus of his time. Other areas of interest are developing lifetime estimation models using weather data, allowing for the prediction of erosion.
